winxp/ubuntu feisty dual boot
hi all
just a quick post to see if anyone else has experienced this
1) hibernate windows (by shutting laptop lid)
2) boot ubuntu next day (forgot i was in windows last)
ubuntu runs but at about 1/4 speed
soon resolved by rebooting xp and shutting down properly

It makes sense, since your XP session is still stored? I dont know the details, but maybe the extra space that the hibernation takes up is slowing you down? How much free space is there on your HD?
lots of space and ubuntu working in separate partition (to where xp must have saved its xp session)....
but maybe you are right |
