Double-clicking top left window icon to close window

This may seem trivial, but it annoys the hell out of me. In Windows, I am used to double-clicking the windows' icon on the top left corner to close them. In , doing this will max/min the window.

Can I set it up so that it closes the window?

Thanks!

i had the same question many months ago, but what i found out is basically that you have to live with it.  not a very satisfying answer i'm sure, but ... after not having used windows for those many months, i do not miss this feature anymore.

So there's no setting or little tweak out there that can do this?
But...the close button is on the other side of the screen

Settle for the top left of your keyboard  Ctrl-Q does the trick as well

here are a few ways you can close a window (probably there are some more i don't know about...):
alt-f4
ctl-w
alt-space, then 'c' (alt-space opens the window menu)
right click /anywhere/ on the task bar, and select close from the menu
and finally,
click on the little x button on the top right hand side.
i hope one of these will make you happy.

I never knew that.

But just tried it in Xubuntu (XFCE) - and it does close the window.  If it is something you can't live without - maybe try out Xubuntu-desktop?

out of interest copying ugm6hr I just tried in Kubuntu and both Kate (text editor) and Ktorrent closed with a double click on the top left. I never even thought to try it before (I usually use Alt-F4)
