FPGA PowerPC Use?

Hi, I was wondering how possible is it for this OS to be stripped down to pretty much barebone, so taht we can use it's memory schduler and a few other OS goodies, for FPGA use?

The FPGA contains two PowerPC cores.

I was wondering can anybody put some weight to this question.
