I have tried a previous and it kept freezing then I tried 7.04 and cause I have a ATI Radeon Xpress 200M, and so it didn't work and I got a error and had to start again.
So I want to try again and I have the alternate install disc, and its a text install disc so do I have to do anything?
If so what will I have to do/type?
Pleas Help
Sam
No, just pop it in and answer the text questions.
I have had to resort to the text install several times in the past and actually prefer it. It works great!

... things should be done from the command line the way Nature intended ...
What if I need to partition the hard drive should I do that off the live cd before?

No, it will ask you all those questions and make it easy. It is a much more comprehensive session than the GUI which tries to assume too much sometimes (IMHO).
