Wireless was working and now isn't

Wireless on my laptop was working and all of a sudden it died. So I went to network settings to see what was up and it thinks I have 2 wired connections and 0 wireless connections. That is, it says eth1 is a wired connection and eth0 is a wired connection when one of those should be a wireless connection. Also I don't remember which of those is supposed to be the wireless connection.

ETA: I connected it to a wired network and that also refuses to work.

got the same problem..

still looking for someone to help..

Growler gave a solution be didn't work..

hope u pm me if u get a solution..

Ok this happened to me as well and the following solution fixed it for me. I hope that it does the same for you.It was really simple. When you go into system-gt; administration-gt; Network you will see your connections.

Now I was told that you cannot have a wired and wireless running at the same time.

So check to see if next to the wired connection there is a check. If there is uncheck it.

Then uncheck and check the wireless and it should give you that little loading bar that says configuring

just to be on the safe side reboot

Then for me that was that...

I hope that this may have helped if not I hope that someone out there can help you.A.

Thanks Antonio44, that fixed it for me. Does anyone know why that works though? I thought linux was supposed to be different from windows where restarting typically solved funky problems that shouldn't have come up in the first place.
