.wmv Video skakes violently Windows, videos, music

I'm having a little problem with some videos in VLC and Totem.

Both of them are in .wmv format, and I have the Automatix WM codecs installed.  The videos used to play alright until yesterday.  I just randomly opened one up, and while the top half of the picture and the music were fine, the bottom half of the video image shook up-and-down violently.  Like a screen flicker that only affected half the image.

It only happens with three select videos.  Two of them play fine under Windows, the third is glitched.

Also, does anyone know how to get VLC to play .RAM movie files?  I always get sound but no video.  They work fine in Totem.

Are your video drivers installed correctly and up to date?

Curious to start help b/c I do not see this myself...
