Burning multiple .mov's?

I've got a dozen or so small video clips which I'd like to burn to a DVD to play in a standard DVD player.  I know how to merge and burn AVI's, but how about .mov files?

What would be the easiest way to burn them?  Is it possible to merge them (with cat?), then convert them to mpeg?

EDIT: If there's an easier way to do this in Windows, I'm open to suggestions.

You need a program to convert the video clips to DVD format.  Basically convert .mpg or .avi to .vob.  I think kino can do it.

Bump. =[
