I know I`ll get jumped on for this post! But does anybody really know how to get this Wubie thing to work?? I`ve 3 Hdd`s, 2 sata and 1 IDE, have tried All 3, None of them need defragging!! Ivee looked all over this forum and am Lost! Ive downloaded this dam program and ubuntu 3 times now and am VERY close to giving up!! all the press and other reports say how easy/good ubuntu is, I agree,but the last time I installed it with the CD and after giving up on it then !! I lost my Hdd when trying to uninstall so thats why I really wanted this program to work.So any help??
And, your problem is that you are getting Error 17 when trying to boot? Hmmm.. error 17 means it's not able to mount the boot files you installed..... that's quite odd. Unfortunately, you're using Wubi, which means all the traditional methods are out the window..... perhaps someone more knowledgeable than I am can help him out?
I, personally, think it's pretty cool that you are still here despite three reinstalls and a corrupt HD incident. That takes guts (and not a bit of stubbornness.) |
