Upgraded from Edgy to Feisty. I can no longer detect my Windows NTFS partiton. I also downloaded Automatix2 for Feisty and installed the app that was supposed to make the NTFS partition readable and writeable. That didn't work so I installed the NTFS configuration tool.
The NTFS configuration tool is installed but when I check the box to enable write support for internal device I get no result for any NTFS partiton. The only quot;placesquot; I show are the file system and the CD-ROM device.
Here are the outputs of the files that I think you need:

To be honest, I have heard there is a weird bug that you have to boot into Windows at least twice, than reboot into .
I know, I know, you will think I am crazy, but I am positive I have seen people say that it worked.
Thanks-
Booting back into Windows (yuk) did allow hda1 to show up in Feisty again but the NTFS config tool still doesn't return the partition when I try to make it writeable.
I don't like to just post links, but sometimes it's just better for the sake of organization.
from : localhost/would try to follow these, because perhaps you missed a step?
It looks like you are really close to getting it to work, because from your output, I couldn't spot anything that jumped out and seemed wrong.
If you have some more questions after looking at the sites, I reply and I will try to look at your output again. Until then I am going to more threads! |
