Parallels: Run OSX/Windows/Linux...Any Good?

HTML Code:
from : localhost/looking to get a new laptop and there are some strong contenders from Mac lately especially now with Intel processors.  I was wondering if anyone has used this program to Dual (OSX/) or Triple boot(OSX/WinXP/)?

I have to have WinXP for grad school (but maybe running VMWare for the WinXP progs might work?), and I of course definitely want .  Since Mac hardware automatically comes with OSX I was looking for something that can possible triple boot but at a minimum dual boot.

Has anyone gone this route before?  Has anyone used this Parallels program?  Is it good, bad, what?

upon further looking it appears that you cannot run this on OSX... does anyone know anything that can do a triple boot though?

Parallels has a native client for OSX:  from : localhost/fact the latest version (3.0) has a new feature call Coherence that enables you to run Windows applications while still within OSX

Very cool... I was reading about that too.

I have VMWare running on my  installation right now and it runs pretty good.  I'm in the market to get a new laptop that I want to dual boot Vista/.  My bro is an OSX user and he was telling about about Parallels so I was curious if it's the same as VMWare with the added functionality of being able to run OSX too.  It sounds like it's better for something things (like being about to run OSX) but not as good as VMWare in others (like DirectX capability).

Well I can't wait for someday with either application is able to boot all 3 OS's (Win//OSX) AND be able to support gaming.  I know that still a few more years away but that's when freedom of OS will truly become a reality.
