I keep coming across a cool effect in Compiz by accident. All my windows fade to transparent and fly up or down to clear the desktop, leaving just a little showing to enable them to be reselected. I suppose it is some sort of mouse gesture but I cannot activate it intentionally. I have compiz-settings installed. can anyone tell me what it is, and more importantly how I control it?
Not sure about Compiz or if it is Beryl in my case, but when I put my mouse to the upper right extreme, all windows that are open become quot;tiledquot; and smaller, and a little transparent, allowing me to easily click on the one I wish to go to...
There's a little thing in the settings where you can set actions to the different corners of the desktop. When you see your windows fly up you have probably triggered this feature by moving you mouse into one of the corners. There's an option in the settings where you can control what happens in what corners of the desktop.
Thank you! That was it - 'Show Desktop' has an action binding to the bottom left corner of the desktop. Now I will have hours of fun doing it intentionally... |
