Fixing resolution to 1260x800

I've got 7.04 on this Del Inspiron e1505 now, ... but the resolution seems awfully awkward. How do I enable a 1260x800 resolution?

what graphics card do you have?
If you have ati or nvidia then you might have to install the right drivers, if you have intel card, you might need to install 915resolution... look at  from : localhost/ubuntuguide.org they have manuals for all this

LaptopTestin...lInspironE1505 is the official testing page for your laptop - it indicates you need the 915resolution package for your display problem - see community/i915Driver. Hope this helps.
