Just trying out the newest release of 7.04 quot;Livequot; and I can not get any sound, and the network program will see the wireless network that I use, but will not connect to it. It also does not see my Dell Laser printer. Any suggestions? I am ready to flush Microsoft down the toilet where they belong, but cannot switch till sound and network issues are fixed.

Hmm to my knowledge you wireless adapter will not work straight off in . If you had installed you could try using NDISWrapper to use the Windows drivers. This could get it working. There are multiple guides around but they will not work when you are using the LiveCD.
As for the sound I am not to sure about that sorry.
Printer is the same. Maybe have a search in the Hardware section to see if anyone else has a problem like this.

hi xpdragon
i suggest that if you are willing to do a little config then you you are best to do a dual boot windows/ubunu system to start with.
allow yourself a few mins to a few hours to get these issues sorted.
come back and post when you have installed
