i just installed the ubuntustudio packages and kernel on my 7.04 costume desktop and i notice that the low latency kernel makes everything run faster not just the the audio.
so, my qusetion is, why do we use the other kernal at all?
seems to me it should run on everyones machine if its faster.
many cpu's don't support that...so a generic kernel is needed to ubuntu be supported in major computers.
Later we can optimize the kernel to our computer's needs |
