How do mount a drive on another computer?

I just got my brand spankin new computer and I want to access the HDD's on my old computer and share file back and forth. My old computer is running Kubuntu Dapper and my new computer is running Kubuntu Feisty. I know nothing about networking so I would appreciate it if someone would point me in the right direction. Thanks.

Even though both run Kubuntu, so long as you are using SMB to share the drives, this will work. If you're using NFS, someone else will have to help you.

Thanks I'll give it a try.

Whats a sharename and how do I change it?

The sharename is the name of the folder you are sharing.
e.g. you may specify that the folder containing all your (legal) mp3 files be known as 'Music'
Music is the sharename
