I recently installed AVG and have run checks, but when I tried to update just now I got the message:
Update process failed.
Reason: Sorry, you do not have permission to execute avgupdate.
I haven't logged in as anyone else, and can't really understand why this is happening. Can anyone help me please.

the permission thing requires root access...so put sudo in front of the command you use to update avg
yea all you have to do is thisCode:sudo avgupdate -o
