Do you have a SBlaster (es1371) card?

Hi ,
I have problem (no sound) with a soundblaster card and I note that there is no entry in the xorg.conf file for a sound device. Would 2 or 3 of you using a sound blaster (AKA Ensonic/Ensonique/es1371 ) take a look at your xorg.conf  file and send me a copy of the entries relevant to sound?

Xorg does not have any configuration for sound cards. Have you already checked the ALSA Wiki for Debian?

I used to have both a ES1370 ane an ES1371 a few years ago. If I remember correctly, they both worked really well without too much tinkering.

I will read the wiki on alsa and see if that helps. However I am going to concentrate on getting my USB-internet connection going so I don't have to reboot every time I try something.
