GPU temperature? (wich is yours?)

I have an NVIDIA 8800 GTS and from the nvidia settings I can see that the GPU temperaure is at 65 ° C is that OK???

* 65° with beryl
* 64° with metacity

Wich is your GPU temperature?

* Wich ways are there for calm it down????

I have a nVidia 7200, recognized by the driver as 7300LE or 7300SE (don't remember well), it is passively refrigerated and its normal temperature is around 85º and 90º if I start beryl. The indicator shows 130º as maximum (working???) temperature.

I gues we need some cooling, I dont like things get taht warm... becase at night when sleeping it is to hot ...

Mine seem to lie around 60-63 when surfing etc with compiz enabled.

Great question btw. I really'd like to set the correct thresholds max/min for sensors-applet.Originally Posted by dliberalI have a nVidia 7200, recognized by the driver as 7300LE or 7300SE (don't remember well), it is passively refrigerated and its normal temperature is around 85º and 90º if I start beryl. Wow, that seems waaaay out of recommended operating temperatures - is the nVidia 7200 especially heat resistant? Are your fan on around the clock?

Here is another reporting of one's GPU temp + some discussion about whether it's high or low:  from : localhost//showthread.php?t=478789
