CDMA Modem Disconnects every 2.5 minutes

Hmm... I've run into something rather strange. I'm using Sprint's Samsung A940 and was able to get things running via Sprint's instructions for a command line connection (Haven't had a chance to mess with the GUI) I should also not that I've had Kubuntu for all of two days.

Okay, so the connection is find, but it tends to drop after 2.5 minutes. It's probably something small but... what am I missing? I'd like to give Windows the boot. Also, not sure what information you guys will need. Suggestions? Additonal information needed? Let me know...

Oh and yes I tried searching the forums, but I had no luck. What search terms did you use if you find something?

By CDMA are you referring to a mobile phone service? If so, how's the service availability in your area?

CDMA service is excellent in the area. I don't think it's a dropout.
