Installation Problem, CD-ROM doesn't mount, please help T.T

Hello all.

Recently I have been having a problem with installation with Xubuntu. I've a eMachine eTower with 128 MB RAM, 500 MHz, and an Intel Celeron Processer... but I don't think these specs are important  for my problem.

Currently I am using the Xubuntu Alternate Installation CD, and all goes fine until I reach the Detect and Mount CD-ROM process. This text appears on screen:

quot;Your installation CD-ROM couldn't be mounted. This probably means that the CD-ROM was not in the drive.
Try again to mount the CD-ROM?quot;

The CD ROM is in the CD drive and I continually try to quot;mount the CD-ROMquot; but the same text appears...

I ask that you help me, and I thank you in advance. I apologize if this post sounded slightly arrogant gt;.gt;
