Firefox doen't start..

Firefox doesn't start and when I tried to run it through terminal it shows following error message..

libxpt: bad magic header in input file; found '69d7e09bc6509173', expected 'XPCOM\nTypeLib\r\n\032'

what should I do now? just remove firefox and reinstall it again?
Please help, thank you.

removing it and reinstalling it would probably be the easyiest thing to do.
