Feisty not recognizing MTP device

I have a creative zen sleek photo and when I have been unsuccessful installing amarok with mtp support. I used the thread  from : localhost//showthread.php?t=316246 and it didn't work. Then i got different links to use for steps 3 and 5. Should Feisty recognize the zen at all even without amarok? Also, any ideas on how to install Amarok correctly or is there any other program that would work?

I couldn't figure it out with Amarok either.  Use gnomad2 and it'll work fine.
