Amarok wiped out every file on my desktop

I moved my music to a different folder. I went into amarok to change the directory I saw a directory there called
Desktop. I  deleted the directory thinking it was a only an amarok file. Next thing i know my entire desktop is gone. All my music, pictures, movies, games, everything gone with the click of a mouse. It did not even have the decency to put the files in the trash can, nor did it warn me that this was my Desktop that I was erasing not
just some stupid amarok directory. It  just completly wiped them out. Please tell me theres some way to get them back. Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

bump

Err...if they're not in the trash can i don't know how to get them back =\ sorry EDIT: from : localhost/e2undel.sourceforge.net/recovery-howto.html try this. It's for ext2 but it may work for ext3. Use the LiveCD

I went there it said  quot;Attention: This will not work with ext3! quot; The exclamation point at the end was enough to scare me away. thanks any ways.
