Help with audio outputs on ubuntu feisty long

How do I get the other sound outputs on my computer to work? My sound is integrated in the motherboard and I cant get the other channels to work.

Under mixer preferences I get a long list of options like quot;Duplicate front, Surround, Surround Jackquot; and many other options but none of them get the other sound ports to work.

Also what does duplicate front do? I would like to see if I could hook up another set of speakers to that if I can.
